Things to consider before buying a basketball hoop

One of the best ways to make your home more enjoyable is by placing a basketball hoop. Setting one up in your house can turn your driveway into a basketball court. Not only will it give you some exercise but it is also a good reason to get your kids off the couch or a good reason to catch up with your friends to shoot some hoops. But to get a fair deal and the most of your hoop, you need to consider a few things. They are:

Assembly- Assembly is required. You can’t play with the hoop right out of the box. You will need to spend some time getting it together. The time spent on it depends entirely on the kind of system you purchased. If the hoop you bought is meant for kids, it won’t take you more than an hour. If it's a premium outdoor in ground kit, then you would need some help from your friends to put it together and also wait for the cement to dry and cure before you play. But, hiring a handyman to do it for you would also be a good idea.

Dunking- You need to be really cautious while dunking. Often a lot of people lower the rim height in order to dunk. You are fine if your hoop is ground mounted system with cement but with a few exceptions, warranties don’t cover any damages caused by dunking. So, if you end up breaking one while dunking, its your responsibility. There are some premium basketball boards that cover dunking under warranty and it is sold only by one brand.
